I have had a lifelong love of books and writing, and of horses and skiing as well. I graduated in English from BYU in 1983 and have worked as a writer—in one way or another—since shortly after my graduation. I am the author a number of books, written in several genres now including the novel. I started keeping a personal journal in 1976 and accidentally wrote over 7,000 pages in 42 volumes. I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served as a missionary in Ohio and recently as a bishop. My wife Cristi and I currently serve in a branch that serves the homeless population in our city. We have been married since 1979, and we have three daughters and five grandsons.
